Why did Captivity Fail You Tell Us

Lets try something new. Being honest you guys and gals are the horror experts. Not the so called critics. It is also you horror nuts that buy the tickets and make horror films work or fail. Its fans like you guys and gals that know what you want and what you dont want. So that invites the question WHY do you think Captivity failed? This is your chance to tell us why you didnt go see the movie and why you think it didnt work. Could you not find it in a theatre near you? Was it not promoted well enough? The story was not your cup of tea? You saw Transformers instead? What was it?

I encourage each and every reader to post your answers, and tell your horror friends to post their answers as well to this question. I know the Vice President of After Dark Films (they put the film Captivity out) and if the answers are telling I might just pass them along to him to see what his reaction is.
