Susan Sarandon Joins Lovely Bones

Susan Sarandon has signed on to star in the new film Lovely Bones based on the novel written by Alice Sebold. Sarandon will play the character of Grandma Lynn, the mother to the character played by Rachel Weisz. The cast also includes Ryan Gosling and newcomer Saoirse Ronan.

Peter Jackson is going to direct and produce The Lovely Bones. The Lovely Bones is a best selling novel which is narrated by a young girl who was raped.. Catch here is the girl is dead and is narrating from heaven. She helps those left behind cope with her fate. The project is scheduled to begin filming in October in Pennsylvania and New Zealand, and will be distributed worldwide by Paramount Pictures.
