Okay, this is rumor based off what Fangoria is able to get out of the Strause Bros. on Aliens vs Predator: Requiem. Greg Strause was at the Fangoria Weekend of Horrors to talk about the film and offered this little tidbit after being asked if all the good stuff was shown in the red-band trailer:
"Not true. There’s lots of stuff still unseen—complete scenes that are not in the trailer...A new world perhaps…" The bold bit is where most fans of the series should be excited about. Now this is of course nothing confirmed in anyway and its doubtful that Fox or anyone associated with the project is gonna let on outside of a few teasing comments in the coming weeks if we will get a chance to see the Alien or Predator homeworld. Something fans have been craving for.
When Renny Harlin (Die Hard 2, A Nightmare on Elm Street 4) was attached to Alien 3 the original concept was to go to the Alien homeworld for a final showdown for Ripley with the bugs before the plan was shot down for budget reasons. Course there were also rumors of Predator 3 where Danny Glover's and Arnold "The Govenator" Schwarzenegger's characters would end up on the Predator homeworld in some sort of a Gladitorial death match against the Predators.
Could this be the chance fans have been waiting for all these years? Or is Greg Strause pulling our leg? Considering how true his and his brother Colin's comments about how they are going back to the action of Aliens and Predator have rung true...I can only hope this little tease bears fruit. Read what else Greg Strause had to say here. Aliens vs Predator: Requiem lands with a solid R on Christmas Day.
