Catacombs Straight to VOD?

It appears, for some odd reason, that Fearnet will be the spot where you can catch Twisted Pictures Catacombs on October 1st. I'm still not sure why this deal happened and what they are thinking. My only guess is that the film is not very good and that they don't think it would be viable to give it a theatrical release.

So now they can test the pull of the video on demand market that Fearnet provides through Comcast. After it premieres on VOD it will then be available streaming on Fearnet.com on Halloween with a DVD release early next year.

For those of you who haven't been following this movie closely "Catacombs," from Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures (the "Saw" franchise), and starring Alecia Moore (aka Pink) and Shannyn Sossamon, deals with a young woman who stumbles into a nightmare when she gets lost in the 200 miles of limestone tunnels beneath the streets of Paris.
