The Wolfman Remake Bumped Back

Today we find out through Empire that The Wolfman remake starring Benicio DelToro has hd its release date bumped. It is being moved from November 12, 2008 to spring 2009, likely because of the upcoming Hollywood Striker that might be happening this coming summer.

The Wolfman Remake closely follow the period pedigree of the 1941 original, in which a man returns from the U.S. to his ancestral home in Victorian-era Great Britain, gets bitten by a werewolf and begins a hairy moonlight existence.

Benicio Del Toro has been attached to play Larry Talbot the lead for quite some time. Filming for the movie is expected to begin sometime this fall and serve as a tentpole release in 2008.
