Rodar Eyes Homecoming

Rodar y Rodar have a couple of films they are setting production dates up for. Both of which should have some interesting results. The first film will be directed by Guillem Morales whose previous feature The Uncertain Guest is getting a remake. This new project titled Julia's Eyes is about a young woman investigating her blind sister's suicide. Shooting on this one is set to begin the first half of next year.

The second project for Rodar y Rodar is from Sergio Sanchez, screenwriter of The Orphanage, titled Homecoming. In this film a brother and sister, aged 10 and 8, go on vacation with their parents to an island and return home to a world without people. This one will not roll until the fall of next year however.

Both of these films, oddly enough, will be english language films. So unlike Pan's Labyrinth you won't have to read the subtitles. Judging purely on the information above my interest really lies with Homecoming. Sanchez seems to be quite a talent and it appears that he has also written a script for Guillermo del Toro. The film will be another spanish language project for del Toro as another ghost story titled 3993.
