Brett Ratner Leaves Escape from New York

Just a week ago we told you that Len Wiseman had been replaced on the Escape from New York remake by Brett Ratner but now today comes word from AICN ( via FilmSTalker ) that Brett Ratner has also left the project.

It should be said however that the source is not a clear one and this could be complete rumor but Brett leaving the movie is definitely opening up the questions of What The Hell is going on. Will the lead Gerard Butler leave next? Myself I think Len Wiseman would have been the better director, who do you think would make for a good director in the remake of Escape from New York?
