Garris Loses Fear - HorrorMovies.ca

This is very sad news. The WGA strike has now begun to hit our genre. Shocktillyoudrop has learned that because of the strike Mick Garris, creator of the Masters of Horror series as well as the new series "Fear Itself" has to drop from his role as show creator. However the only good news is that he can still participate as director.

However since the series is being co-made by Lionsgate I feel it should be in capable enough hands. However the fact that the show is appearing on NBC has me really, really down, first off because of commericals and second being as because its on a regular network a lot of the harder horror material can't be done unless they've worked out like its airing at midnight or whatever. Out of the whole two seasons of Masters of Horror, doubt we could have seen a single one on regular networks.

NBC has ordered 13 episdoes for airing in the summer of 2008.
