Tim Burton To Direct In 3D

According to Variety, Tim Burton has teamed up with Disney to bring out a couple new 3D films. First I would like to mention is Frankenweenie. This was originally a live action short film he directed in 1984 that was only available on a Special Edition DVD of A Nightmare Before Christmas.

Now Frankenweenie will be shot in stop-motion animation and shown in digital 3-D. If you have never seen it before its basically the story of a young boy who brings back his little dog. A modern day spoof of the original classic Frankstein.

Before he tackles Frankenweenie however he will be working on a new version of Alice In Wonderland. This movie will combine performance-capture imagery, currently seen in "Beowulf," with live-action footage. It will be interesting to see Alice in Wonderland like this because the film itself has a haunting twist to it and if you add Tim Burton in to the mix.. Well you can bet this will be interesting.
