The story evolves around Marie (Cecile De France) and Alexia (Maiwenn Le Besco) who are schoolmates and best friends. Hoping to prepare for their college exams in peace and quiet, they decide to spend a weekend in the country at Alexia's parents' secluded farmhouse. But in the dead of night, a stranger (Philippe Nahon) knocks on the front door. And with the first swing of his knife, the girls idyllic weekend turns into an endless night of terror.....

After a lot of crap and unneeded sequels and remakes from bigger American studios it's nice to see, that a movie from Europe does its job to bring back original horror to the genre. This movie shows fans what they want to see. Suspense, Terror, Horror, Gore and especially something that's very often missing in horror movies - good acting.

The movie written by Alexandre Aja and Gregory Lavasseur won 4 awards at the Catalonian International Film Festival (Sitges, Spain). Cecile De France for best actress, Alexandre Aja for best director, Gianetto De Rossi for best Make-Up and the director also won Grand Prize of European Fantasy Film in Silver. And in my opinion the movie deserved every award it won.
