House of 1000 Corpses Review

This is the film that horror fans like myself have waited years for. Something that would remind us of what a good horror film was. Not only did it have a big budget but it had some great actors and a genius behind the lens.
I'm glad that Rob Zombie decided to set this film in the 70s. It gave the film a believeable feel to it that it wouldn't have if it was set nowadays. Robs ability to capture the scene in the heat of the moment is amazing. Hopefully he will be making many more horror films in future.
Another thing about this movie that sets it leaps and bounds above all others is the characters. Sherri Moon as Baby and Bill Moseley as Otis completely stole the screen. Sid Haig was another great member as Captain Spaulding in this flick. Very reminescent of the Sawyer family Rob managed to put togther another gruesome family to prowl your nightmares.
