The Hills Have Eyes (2006) Review

This movie is INTENSELY unsettling from beginning to end. Whatever makes your skin crawl, this movie gives it to you. Deformed people? Check. Savages willing to kill infants? Check. Murderous rapists? Check. Being surrounded in viscera? Check. Overbearing parents-in-law and tedious family vacations? Checkmate.

The audience is left with nearly no comfort zone as sanctuary. But I'll assume if you're reading this review, you don't like being comforted and coddled by the movies you watch. This movie is as well rife with the moments that will you with dark giggly glee. Beautiful people and bloody revengeare what make the climax of this movie, as it did Hostel so delicious. Fans of hardcore horror will not be disappointed by this remake of classic horror. Let's hear it for the return of hardcore horror!
