An American Werewolf in London Review

9 out of 10 Skulls

One of my all time favorite Werewolf films of all time. Oddly enough my dad pointed me out to this movie because he thought it was pretty funny. However when I watched this movie I learned that John Landis was a genious. Not only could he do a comedy flick and a horror flick but he could blend them seamlessly.

The story in this movie follows a couple of Americans as they are backpacking through Europe. As they are traveling they are attacked by what they think is an animal.. Some kind of wolf. One of the men is killed and the surviving one starts to go through some odd and unusual changes.

One of the things that I truly love about this movie are the FX this is the movie that really impressed the notion that CGI is not needed to make a really good horror film. This movie also contains the best transformation on screen that I have ever seen. This is a must see for any fan of werewolf movies. Actually you can't even call yourself a fan of werewolf films unless you've seen this flick.
