Shaun of the Dead Review

Woohoo! Let's all go to the Winchester for some pig snacks and a pint. This British rom/zom/com is send-up perfection. Besides having a helluva story this beauty has nailed the art of homage. When Shaun's town comes under the siege of maruading zombies, he must do something he has never done before...anything.
His girlfriend, Liz of three years has just dumped him for having no direction. What better way to prove his love than to save her from the flesh-eating onslaught? Shaun kicks it into high gear with the help of his useless friend, Ed and a laundry basket of kitchen utensils. Together they attempt to save Liz and her two roommates, Shaun's mum and step-dad, and all the while keep their own asses in one piece.
This film rocks a solid plot and hordes of purposefully placed gags that reference everything from An American Werewolf in London to Night of the Living Dead. When this hit the theater, it quickly rose up to the top five of my favorites list. I suggest this film to anyone on the lookout for a fresh, funny look at zombie horror. Hell you don't even have to be a fan to enjoy this one. Anyone can enjoy the raucous fun of Shaun of the Dead. And everyone should.
