The Wicker Man (1973) Review

This filim has been hailed as the "Citizen Kane of horror films," and I cannot bring myself to disagree. Further, Christopher Lee looks back on this masterpiece, penned by Sleuth and Frenzy's Anthony Schaffer, as the greatest of all his films.
In a nutshell, this bizarre masterpiece is about a Christian fundamentalist detective who finds himself investigating the vanishing of a small girl on a British Isle inhabited by Pagans. A surreal treat. Watch out for the ending, and forget the remake! This is literally as good as it gets folks, eerie, macabre, funny, and brilliant. Enjoy.
