Dawn of the Dead (2004) Review

Dawn of the Dead 2004 was a slight disappointment for me. The gist of the original story was there but the gore wasn't. Where were the feast scenes? There weren't any. The thing I hate was that most of the attacks were off camera and you just heard screaming. Where were the decent gut shots of zombies tearing victims apart? There was one one scene that showed a zombie chewing on a guy and he's was already dead.
Although the fact that the zombies moved pretty fast added to the tension but little else. The part of the pregnant woman was obviously homage to Gaylen Ross' character Fran in the original Dawn but it was totally unnecessary.
The story is simple: Eight survivors of the terror seek refuge in an abandoned shopping mall to get away from the dead. These dead are like no othe, they can run and run FAST!!! They have a ferocious appitite for the flesh of the living and they aren't easily stoppable.
