Night of the Living Dead Review

7 out of 10 Skulls

Well, this used to underline what horror and zombie films were to me (more so than Dawn or Day of the Dead, as this was the originator), but sadly, with the focus on the psychological films and more "proper" horror films (slashers, ghost stories etc) coming to my attention the real tension and effect of this indie classic have almost completely gone.

Though for some reason I still think Dawn and Day, and NIght remake have a better hold on me. The story revolves around a small group of people, attempting to survive over a night whilst trapped in a farmhouse by the livind dead. It is a fully black and white picture which helped in two ways; firstly, it costed less, and secondly it adds atmosphere and tension.
