Dawn of the Dead Review
Written by: Dean Valent
Well, what do you need to know about this movie if you are a real zombie fan? Nothing, as you've probably spouted it enough yourself in your lifespan, but for those who are uneducated about zombie flicks... Dawn of the Dead is the seminal horror film, and the name of George A Romero had become synonomous with zombies from it's prequel (Night of the Living Dead).
This film expands the story to a more epic feeling, from simply surviving overnight in a farmhouse to surviving over weeks in varied locations, but what fans should remember is the mall... Well the story is not similar to Dawn 2004 in the least (apart from the mall) and follows four peoples attempt at survival through the zombie epidemic, two former soldiers, a television technician and a news and weather reporter who drives a helicopter.
The film follows this small amount of poeple though their tribulations until a downfall is brought upon them...and no, not all of them survive to the end, but still you care about them.
