City of Rott Review

7 out of 10 Skulls

Ever wanted to read a comic book about zombies but never learned how to read? Well today is your lucky day because City of Rott is on DVD. This is the animated tale of Frank, an old man who wants one thing.... a new pair of loafers for his tired old feet. So he sets out with his trusty walker that has a voice and needs of it's own (it's hungry) to get him some shoes from the mall. Problem is the the entire city is full to the top with zombies! What's on old man to do?

Good thing old Frank has some skills, he is a master of the walker of doom (I gave it that name) and is pretty good with a gun as well. As he makes his way around town he meets a few other living people but mostly the undead. Now don't take any of this the wrong way but there are some bad points to the film. Number one is it's too long, there is a point where it would have been perfect for the movie to end but it keeps going to tie up some loose ends but it really didn't need to.

You'll see what I mean. Second is the animation is kind of weird at first, it's a step above South Park but the blood and guts are done really well. If your looking for the next great zombie epic, this is not it but if you want to send some time woith good old frnk on a lazy Sunday it will be time well spent.
