House on Haunted Hill (1959) Review

9 out of 10 Skulls
Written by: Monkey Rogue

Millionaire playboy Frederick Loren, who invites five guests out to a genuine haunted house, offering them each $10,000 if they spend the night. Elisha Cook Jr. plays one of the guests, an alcoholic who is the last surviving relative and owner of the house. Mr. Loren's beautiful but treacherous wife (Carol Ohmart) is also in attendance, as this is her birthday party. Each of the guests has a role to play, and as the night goes on, things go from scary to down right deadly for the guests. It's Vincent Price in one of his most memorable roles. And the ending will leave you rather satisfied I dare say.
