Saw Review
Written by: Moviemaven
This sucker hits the ground running and doesn't slow down till it breaks through the ribbon. I thought I would like it but I was wrong. I love it! Think Seven meets Cube and that might get you close. Saw is original and tense; taught and scary as Hell. Of course I have some issues here and there, but for the most part, this gory thriller is packed with shocks and surprises enough to keep even me happy. I won't give anything away, but I will say this. The end? You know what I mean?
Wow! That's all I'm saying. Wow. We start out with Adam waking up in a bathtub, in the dark, chained to a pole. He has no idea where he is but soon discovers he is not alone. Dr. Lawrence Gordon is also there. He is chained to the other side of the room. Neither of them know why they are there or who is responsible, but the man in charge is known as The Jigsaw Killer.
He is an interesting breed of serial killer for he never kills anyone. He comes up with ingenious plans to have them kill themselves or each other. And along the way he is hoping they will learn some valuable life lessons. Awww. That gives me the warm fuzzies. What has he cooked up in his diabolical mind for these guys? You never know. Just when you think you do, you don't. I mean it. No, I really mean it. It's good.
