Automaton Transfusion Review

I stepped into screamfest after reading tons of hype on the film and really was expecting to be let down. Then the movie started. The opening scene alone was enough to keep me seated or atleast after i jumped 5 feet in the air on the first scare. Lets start with the acting. I was pleasantly suprised with the acting, since most indie films you expect to have the weak/campy acting. The 2 lead guys were exceptional! I was in full belief the enitre film because of there performances. A few weak characters and some over acting was lingering in the midst, but nothing that took me out of the story. My personal favorite was William Bowman, who played SCOTT, his portrayal of a high school senior chainsawing his way through hords of living dead was fantastic! Next is the Story.
You dont get the story till near the end of the flick but when it comes, its badass. An idea that been touched on but never really told in this light before. I was pleased to see the army idea taken to a new level and spin. Ok so the GORE! Want do you want to see in a zombie flick?! If you can think it, then this movie has it! I wont give away the scene i think everyone will be talking about. It literally had the entire theater clapping and going crazy! The effect were amazing considering this film is 30 grand and 9 days! I was amazed at the amount of blood and relentless human carnage. There are def some death scenes that made my top 10! Finally the Directing. I honestly cant believe this was shot for the budget and time.
It was a feast of visuals! Steven C Miller showed me that all these inide filmmakers that comlplain about no money and blame that on there film sucking are all IDIOTS! The movement and the choice of shots were awesome. I was into the characters, follwed the story, and forgot i was in a theater. Which in my opinion is exactly what a good director does. He sucks you in and doesn't let you breath! Overall Im so excited that i actually saw a film that met my expectations and was just plain FUN! The movie doesn't try to be anything more than a great gorefest that you have to watch with your friends. 80's horror is back with this film and i cant wait for the sequel!
