Bruiser Review

Briuser As many of you know I am a huge George A Romero buff and I was on my holidays in Spain in a city called Gibraltar I spotted a music n video store my 1st reaction was to be "all in Spanish" hell no as soon as I saw Bruiser I picked the mother fucker up and did not give 2 craps of what it would cost me I knew it was mine And not a damn thing anyone could do to stop me. Henry is betrayed by his wife, belittled by an over bearing boss and cheated out Of a fortune by his best friend so Henry wakes up without a face and shocked that his I.D has been taken as well So he sets out to destroy who has ripped him off them one by one, Bruiser a bloodcurdling tale of how far a man Will go to regain what others have taken…
This is George A Romero's biggest comeback after an illness and I was praying and wishing This would bring back his feel with such movies as… "Monkeyshines" "The Dark Half" and I was right George never lost a step he is back, reenergized and ready to kick ass once again In horror where he belongs with this amazing franchise "Bruiser" Henry was left in the dark as all along his friends, work mates and associates were all planning on taking Henry's face as his wife is so unfaithful and keeps her thumb on Henry's money, His best friend Jimmy… A financial advisor who is robbing Henry blind. And boss a cock waggling over bearing Sex maniac as he fucks any piece of ass that goes near him. …
So Henry woke up with his normal exercise routine he looks in the mirror and his face has become white and featureless is the last straw, and you know what that means, don't you? No more Mr. Nice Guy "The Fiend Without A Face". Henry on a mission to seek vengeance Henry dons a black hat and cape which looks perfect on him and walks the streets unnoticed by anyone and he poorly kills a poodle the music by "The Misfits" played at a rock club overbears by a killing of Henry's boss which people think is a stunt but no he gets nailed.
This movie on me had such an impact on me and my emotions and feelings like it was happening in real life like a crisis My fav scene is where Bruiser throws his wife out the window by her neck and hanging there dead it is just too shocking to And there are even sequences in which "Bruiser" calls "The Larry King Show" to say his situation which I thought was absolute crazy and I felt this was also in a sense had a feel to Dario Argento's Suspiria with the suspense tamed down Just a little but it did achieve the European feel and this is another great piece from George A Romero's canon and is a tight grip till the end.
It would be good if there was a little more violence in this movie but it had the detail of what Henry was dealing with and all the pressure knowing he had been done over again and again, I give this movie a 10/10 top marks and I leave you with a few facts about the movie. 1. Bruiser was named as George’s daughter Tina suggested that should be the name of the movie. 2. George got the face idea for “Bruiser from a French movie entitled “Eyes Without A Face” So if you see his face its too late……….
