Rob Zombie's Halloween stands on its own. True Horror storytelling at its best. Halloween has a beginning - Michael Myers childhood, very bloody, very well acted. A middle - Grown Myers in the santatarium/and escape, insightful, very well acted. And an ending - The Halloween story retold, or perhaps better wording, "reexamined". All three parts mesh together to tell an enjoyable Horror story. I enjoyed the movie, ALOT.

 The soundtrack fit in well and was entertaining. The use of the original theme was a necessity. All the acting was fantastic, everyone played/acted their parts perfectly. The gore factor was not over the top, and there were alot of kills. This movie is a must-see on the big screen I suggest you don't miss it. I give it a 10 out of 10.

Now to let loose the critic that lies within me. (4) things bothered me about this movie. But it didn't ruin it for me. (1) I wish the camera could have centered on Micheal, alot of times in the scene the top of Michael's head is cut off. (that really annoyed the hell out of me) (2) This might be Rob Zombie's style, but when the camera is not focusing on an object,  the object is NOT in focus. Just not my camera style/taste. (3) Fast action scenes were too damn fast, its like riding a thill ride and trying to focus, you can't. So all three of those is camera related. * THIS NEXT PART IS A SPOILER*

(4) I didn't get the "feeling" Michael was "supernatural". Alot of the time was used on background explaining Michael, which was good, but it did take away from the overall "effect" that he is supernatural, unstoppable, evil. Especially the way Rob Zombie ended it. He folded the ending around, added to it (story-wise), which I liked - but it did negate the ending.
