30 Days of Night Review

REFRESHING! Wow, I've been waiting for a vampire flick like this. An original new twist on the bloodsuckers of old. An awesome depiction of vampires as "beasts" rather then your typical "debonaire seducers/stalkers". Throwing the myth bag into the closet, 30 days of night breathes fresh air into the vampire film genre. You dont gotta stake these guys, dowse them with holy water, throw perfectly good garlic bread at them or fend them off with a cheap crucifix made of sticks. Just decapitate them! or give em the occasional flash of UV rays. 

Of the one 30 days of night comic I have read, I know they strayed away from the original storyline just a tad. But makes for a more emotional relationship between eben and stella. The special effects in this movie were terrific and at times pushing the limits of what has been seen in the past. Acting was good, cinematogrophy was excellent. All in all im very impressed by this one.
