Feast (Unrated) DVD Review

10 out of 10 Skulls

Lil' something you should know about me first before I give this review: I've watched over 1700 horror movies in the last 16 years (I'm 28 now)...In that time, I've stayed awake thru some of the most boring movies, and have been appalled at others that I quickly took it out of my DVD player (or VHS back then) and chucked it to see if it sank or floated like the piece of shit it was...

With FEAST, I did neither. Rented from NETFLIX, bought at Best Buy the next day. I only have a handful of movies that have made that tough cut I put on horror movies: less sex, more violence/gore. A tale about a bar, and the inhabitants inside, and the creatures that are outside trying to get in. Simple, and straight to the point. And just when I thought this movie was a clone of other movies, things start to change:

A creature losing his privates...priceless The only kid in the movies bites the dust...the director actually off'd a kid!!! A baby creature humping a wall mounted animal Was there more? Yes, much more. What I've named was just the tip of what rookie director John Gulager has in store for us. And with excellant acting from Henry Rollins, Balthazar Getty, Navi Rawat, and others, it is truly a thrillride. One of my top movies...and as the top paragraph states, I've seen a lot...
