SAW Review
Written by: Ash's missing hand
Saw is a well made horror movie, gruesome, and worth sitting through. it's designed to pair sadistic horrors with choices that are made. I really didn't care enough about the characters in this movie to be rooting for them, though. this movie depends on an deviously, ingenious villian named "Jigsaw" who devises puzzles for the victims and the cops. The movie opens with 2 men chained by leg irons to opposite walls. In the center of the floor is a corpse. next to the corpse is a gun, a tape recorder, and a saw.
The two chained men are Adam and Dr. Gordon. the tape recording tells them that Dr. Gordon has to kill Adam by a certain time or his wife and daughter will be murdered. at the same time, two detectives are trying to track down "jigsaw". I would explain further but that is the whole plot. The reasns for why "Jigsaw" does what he does is lightly touched upon but ,obviously, more attention is paid to that in later movies. the acting in this movie is solid and the sets look good.
This is one of those fast food movies. an hour after you see it your mind expels it because it is just taking up room for no good reason.
