House of 1000 Corpses Review
Written by: Mister Shivers
This film as it all, A nod to the past, tongue firmly in cheek, memorable lines, a creepy cast of villains and all the little things that make a film worth watching a hundred times over. Rob Zombie accomplished something few directors can, he caught the element of horror and sustained it through the film. Unlike Blair Witch which took us down a different path, Zombie takes us down a familiar road, but gives us back whats been missing in the genre for what seems a lifetime. I am entranced still by the little things and details, scene to scene that get shoved aside in so many big budget pictures. Whether for sheer entertaiment or to satisfy the lust for good horror this film captures the ends most films leave loose and ties us firmly up.
