An American Werewolf in Paris Review

1 out of 10 Skulls

The movie involves three Americans (Tom Everett Scott, Vince Vieluf, Phil Buckman) on a "daredevil tour" of Europe. They climb the Eiffel Tower at night, only to find a woman (Julie Delpy) about to jump to her death. They talk, she jumps, and Scott leaps to save her while tied to a bungee cord.

She survives, they track her down at her home, she has blood on her hands, her friend invites them to a rave, Delpy isn't there, they find her locked in a cell in her basement, the ravers are werewolves, so is Delpy, etc., etc.

This movie needs a complete and total rewrite. How brainless were the screenwriters? Consider this line of dialogue from the movie. After Delpy jumps off the tower one of the Americans says, "The kind of girl who jumps off the Eiffel Tower has issues, man." Enough said.
