I found this movie to be a nice new take on the zombie genre. I was not particularly a big fan of the first film, i thought that the whole cause of zombification being radioactive monkeys to be quite stupid to be honest. This movie is greaet however, what the zombies lack in gorey design, they make up for with their new direction. These zombies are FAST, you wont find any of those slow staggering zombies in this film, they full out sprint. The infection is thought to be over, however, a woman is found with the virus, although she is immune to it, she still carries it.

Her husband unaware of this, kisses her, with the exchange of saliva, the virus gets transfered to him, however, he is not immune. This rips apart their colony from the inside out and soldiers are ordered to kill everybody weather they are alive or undead. The original characters are not seen in this film, in my opinion, that is a good thing. It bring a fresh set of characters that one could really relate to. In this post-apocalyptic story, there are several unexpected occurances, not to mention alot of new things i havnt seen before in a horror movie. All in all, it is a great movie, and a must see for all you zombie fans out there.
