Poltergeist Review

"There here," as Carol Anne says in this movie. She seems to be hearing ghosts from a dead channel on the televison. What newer movie does that remind you of? White Noise was an ok ghost flick but it can't touch this 80s classic.
Steven Spielberg and Tobe Hooper give us the ultimate in ghost terror. In my book this is one of the best ghost movies ever made. It is a fun smart and scary horror film. One of a kind truely. If more of the ghost flicks they make now where like this then we would have alot of fine damn ghost movies. But instead they give us crap like The Ring; or The Grudge; boring flat ghost flicks like this are only good to sleep to.
One thing I've noticed thats kinda funny to me is that both The Ring and The Grudge have PG-13 ratings while Poltergeist; has an PG rating and it has way more violence even a gushy site of gore. If your new to horror movies and you have not seen this one your missing a good one. Don't let the PG rating scare you off cause I bet if this movie would have been made in the year 2005 it would have had an R rating. That goes to show you horror movies where funner in the 80s they could get away with more. Overall I give this movie a 10. Spielberg should make more horror films cause he did a awesome job on this.
