American Psycho 2: All American Girl (2002) Review
Written by: prddad
Alright, got a lot to review today, so sit back and enjoy. Or don't sit back, grab some popcorn or candy, maybe a soft drink, then come back and relax.
Plot...the tagline reads that this is the sequel to the box office hit. It's about a girl who survived the first encounter with Patrick (from first movie), and is now in college. Finding competition from other students as the professor's assistant, she starts to kill off the competition...Ok, I know that is a cheesy plot synopsis, but I had to do it. Not much else to be said. The plot itself is great, the fact that they had to use that tagline wasn't. For those of us who love the first one, I'm sure we could have figured it out (guy having sex with woman then killing her, yeah, we would have gotten it). The story moves forward very quickly, and with a nice twist at the end, you'll get your moneys worth...
Acting...the very beautiful Mila Kunis (70'S SHOW) stars as the main actress, though honestly, she seemed to act better in the 70's SHOW. There are other actors/actresses in this, but the movies I've seen them in escapes me. Oh, can't forget that loveable Canadian William Shatner co-stars...
- Nudity...nah...
- CGI...none...
- Gore...moments, mostly the usual blood splatter (it seems that is all I've been reviewing lately, movies with blood splatter in them)...
- Scares...none here...
Bottom line...come for the story, for the acting, but don't expect that ferocious temper that Patrick had from the original...
