Damn!!! what a good movie i could watch this one over and over and never get sick of it. this has got to be one of John Carpenter's best movies. it has enough special fx and gore to last a life time. nothing sucks about this film it is good from the start till the end. in this movie we find ourselfs stuck in a winter of terror a place where you can't trust no one and our enemy an alien aka the thing is hell bent on tearing us apart.

the story to this movie will take hold of you and it wont let go. you fall right into this hell. i wish more horror movies where this fun. "The Thing" proves just how good Carpenter can be. i hope they never try to make a remake to "The Thing" no one could do this better then Carpenter himself. over all i give this movie a 10 cause its one of a kind.

John Carpenter took a fake 50s film and turned it into something great.if your new to horror movies then put this one on the top of your horror list. other ass kicking films by Mr Carpenter'you should see are "In The Mouth Of Madness" "Vampires" "Body Bags" " Village of the Damned " "Prince Of Darkness" "Big Trouble In Little China" and "The Fog" check out my review on that one.
