8 out of 10 Skulls

Okay, bear with me, I don't do reviews because I don't like to give away plots, etc.  I'm going to try to give my opinion without ruining anything.  First of all, I was really glad to see George back in his element with lower budget, unknown cast and running the show his way.

The cast deserves some credit as I enjoyed watching them immensely, very well-acted.  I especially enjoyed the grisled professor, he seemed very believable to me.

I like the whole idea of the movie, a bunch of students filming their horror movie and seeing a real horror movie unfolding around them, continue to film that instead.  I didn't see Cloverfield  so I can't compare the two.  Even though the main actor refusing to stop filming through the entire ordeal was nerve-wracking, I found it very true to how the world is today.  So many people today have camcorders and film all kinds of  accidents, etc. so who wouldn't if something like this was happening around them.

I thought the effects were very good and the twists along the way also satisfying.  Overall, I felt like this movie came off as pretty real to me like it was really happening.
