Diary of the Dead review by Floridapossum Review

First let me say, I love Romero films. He casts the most awesome zombies around. But it hurts me to say, I was gravely disappointed in this film. I can only say that it was Romeroish.
The acting quality was good, but I might have to blame The Blair Witch for all these people carrying around camcorders documenting their own demise. I'm tired of it. It was good with the BW, because at the time, it was something new, well now its not. Somebody needs to let Cloverfield know that too.
I don't mean to rag on this movie so much. But I couldn't really relate with any of the characters. That , to me, was the key element missing in this film. In Romero's dead movies, one knows that they will be able to suspend their own reality for a while and join the character of characters on there quest for answers and survival. This film totally lacked any of this. I hope he makes another film soon, this one just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. (pardon the pun)
