Ils (Them) Review

9 out of 10 Skulls

It takes place in Romania, and revolves around a French teacher named Clementine and her lover, Lucas. They live in a secluded country  house, Clementine is awaken by a strange noise she hears outside of their bedroom window, when she notices her car is moved.

Of course they have to go check it out and they both soon realize that they are not alone in the house, they begin to hear footsteps running all around them and the power gets cut off. (There isn't a whole lot of dialog in the movie, so if your aren't a fan of different languages, you may still be able to sit through this.)

The unavoidable self inflicted wound is bestowed to the male, Lucas, leaving him pretty much helpless.

As Clementine tries to run for help out of the home she realizes she was followed by the people that were in the house. The people in the house do NOT SAY ONE WORD they only make a series of clicks and whistles to communicate with each other, which in my opinion just adds to the creepy factor.

I'm afraid thats all of the summary I can give because if I say anything else it will spoil the movie.

THIS MOVIE IS BASED ON AN ACTUAL CASE THAT HAPPENED IN ROMANIA SEVERAL YEARS BACK, THE KILLERS WERE CAUGHT AND JAILED FOR THE MURDERS OF SEVERAL PEOPLE (I BELIEVE IT WAS FOUR.)

I SUGGEST TO ALL OF MY FRIENDS TO NOT WASTE TIME SEEING REMAKES DONE BY AMERICAN FILM PEOPLE. I THINK THAT EUROPEAN HORROR/THRILLER MOVIES ARE MUCH MORE BELIEVABLE BY FAR, AND THE ACTING BLOWS ANY AMERICAN ACTRESS OUT OF THE WATER!!!!!!!!!
