6 out of 10 Skulls

Many people may not classify "Fido" as a horror movie , but I consider it to be a very witty Dark Comedy with Horror elements.

The movie is set in the 1950's in a very "leave it to beaver" community. A long Zombie War has just ended and a company "ZomCom" has learned to domesticate Zombies by using electronic collars.

The main focus of the story is about a family who decides to get a zombie because they are the only ones on their block without one . I guess having a zombie is a sign of wealth because they are used as servents and pets. This particular Zombie "Fido" as they named him seems to be different than the other zombies because he's able to distinguish between right and wrong. The Family grows a bond with zombie and must stop ZomCom from terminating him.

I liked the movie because it was an easy watch. There was blood and kills, but they were used in a comedic way. I would describe this movie as "Pleasantville meets Land of the Dead"
