The Wicker Man (1973) Review

For not being an avid watcher of cult-horror, I bought this movie without any doubts and must say that it is one of the best films I have ever seen. I was immediately hooked when I started watching this film. After reading the synopsis on the back of the DVD, I was beyond excited when I knew the night had come when I finally got to watch this film.
Every element of this film fit together so perfectly and precise that I was left amazed and completely in love; with the film that is. The ending is one that I must say, completely frightened me and was so creepy that I almost screamed in unison terror with Sergeant Howie (Edward Woodward).
I must say that this is one film that made me mad, but not because of what you might think. It was one of those films that you can't get the answers until the end. The suspense about drove me crazy and I wouldn't have asked for it any other way. the way that this film made me feel was something I haven't felt for a film in a very long time. After watching it, it took me a minute or two to reming myself that it was only a film and not an "actual event". Although it wouldn't suprise me if something like this has happened.
The emotion that I felt while watching this movie is something rare to me, because not many movies can pull off what the writers and directors did when making this film. The mind of the writers and directors behind this masterpiece have completely won my approval as I believe that I have recommended this film to about everyone I came in contact with for about a week after watching it.
Overall, my approval rating is skyhigh and I would (and did) recommend this film for all movie lovers. It is truly a masterpiece in my eyes and a rare find as well!
