Day of the Dead Review

It is now time to turn the bitch out and review a hard core gore film. As many of you so called readers know im a die hard zombie fan. Why do i pick zombie films to be my fav type of horror movies you might ask. Well the answer is quite simple my friends i am a gore addict i can't get enough of it. Im like a junky looking for the next fix and George A.Romero's "Day of the Dead" is the perfect score.
"Day of the Dead" is such a relaxing zombie movie to watch. At the end of a hard days work i can pop this one in my dvd player and kick back and watch folks geting there intestines pulled out of there stomachs and there vocal cords ripped out of there throats. Ok so it sounds like im a sick basterd well you got that one right kool ghouls. "Day of the Dead" is the 3rd instalment in Romero's long runing dead trilogy.
Like "Land of the Dead" alot of Romero's fans had issues with this movie when it came out in 85. They wanted more of the drama fill like "Dawn of the Dead" had and what they got instead was a real shit kicker full of in your face bitch gore. Don't get me wrong i love Romero's "Night of the living Dead" and "Dawn of the Dead" i know i've watched them both well over 40 times i went to see "Land of the Dead" 4 times i can't wait to the dvd comes out.
You might ask is "Day of the Dead" a good follow up to "Dawn of the Dead". The answer is yes it is. Im not going to lie to you "Day of the Dead" is a lot less drama then "Dawn of the Dead". It is no where close to being as long as "Dawn of the Dead" is Its about an hour and 30mins long so when the shit starts happening it happens fast. No time to think it over this time when the zombies brake in your fucked. Romero's attitude for this 3rd dead film is simple its like fuck the mall drama bring out the gore.
As for the story. Here is what your dead loveing heart wants. We are reintroduced to Romero's zombie world where the dead have been riseing to eat the liveing for quite sometime now. A small group of army soldiers and medical staff are hideing there days in a sunken military complex. The medical staff are runing tast on the living dead hopeing to find a way to put some kind of ending to this hell. The only improvement they seem to be makeing is with this one zombie some of you might know of bub. But how ever bub is not enough to impress the head soldier and when he finds out that this dr is kinda loseing it he puts a stop to this madness at once. But at that point the madness is just geting started.
To make this long story short we soon learn that we are stuck in this underground complex with a run mad dr and a head soldier that will kill if he don't get some answers very fucking soon. Among all this madness the dead are waiting to be let in. And when they do this movie ends with gut chokeing bang. Over all i give this movie a 10 cause its Romero at his best.If your new to horror movies or your just looking a kick ass zombie movie to watch put this one on the top of your list.
