Diary Of The Dead Review

George A Romero does it again, this time the right way. Land of the Dead was amazing but lacked the feeling of realism. This movie took place in the world that we currently are in, the Internet world.
The movie picks up kind of where Night of the Living Dead leaves off. I know it's not directly after, but this movie just leaves the "zombies" as a slowly growing problem.
Anyways, watching it for the first time today, I'm disappointed I didn't watch this earlier. The movie is so well done. Again, we get a handheld movie. Following a group of college students across the country on a mission to simply film what is going on for the truth. The media is covering up all the zombies, saying it's a mental problem, dementia I think.
Slowly but surely, the students (and people they find along the way) are picked off. Before we know it, only a few survivors.
Now, with the movie over and the knowledge of another Romero movie coming, I can honestly say that I'm excited. He only gets better with age (nothing is better than the original Dawn of the Dead).
Editorial Note: Sorry if this review is not as insightful as some of mine are, I have strep throat this week and can't see straight or hold my head up.
