Bubba Ho-Tep Review

Elvis Presley (Bruce Campbell) and John  F  Kennedy (Ossie Davis) did not  die  but lived to old age and become residents at an old people's home, where a soul sucking mummy preys on the residents.The two team up to stop the creature.

Certainly offbeat  but rather over rated comedy horror from PHANTASM director Don Coscarelli.Film at least realises it's own silliness and in fact has a fair quota of laughs,but towards the end starts to run out of ideas. Having President Kennedy  portrayed as a black man is certainly a novelty!

Bruce Campbell has perhaps the best role of his career so far and does well but cannot carry the whole movie and the climax could have been better.The promised sequel has not as yet appeared. A curiousity and to it's credit a stab at something different , but only an average result in my opinon.
