Automaton Transfusion Review

1 out of 10 Skulls

I realize it was shot in 9 days for only $30k, but this indie was incredibly boring, predictable, and just plain awful.  There was no tension at all.  You could see every attempt at it coming from a mile away, and the "characters" were hallow, lifeless puppets.  The movie didn't even have an ending.  It just stopped with the words, "To be continued."

You can tell all the dialogue was obviously ADR, because it stands out in the worst way possible and usually doesn't even match the actors' lips.  The film's framerate was clearly manipulated in post to try to make it look like film, but it failed miserably.  The quotes on the cover from Bloody-Disgusting couldn't be farther from the truth.

This is one of the worst zombie films I've ever seen.  I watched it with another horror fanatic, and we both wanted to blow our brains out.  In one scene, the lead guy runs into a house with some friends to escape a horde of zombies outside.  He reunites with his girlfriend that he was separated from, and then as they open the same door they came in, all the zombies that were outside are suddenly gone.  Avoid this at all costs.  It's not even worth renting.
