His Name Was Jason Review

His Name was Jason and today is his birthday, Saturday the 14th!!!! After my heart warming story on how I eventually found this DVD, imagine the thrill of finally watching it.
As corny as the narration was, Tom Savini delivered an okay documentary. I am a huge fan of the F13 series and learned maybe 2 things about the series watching the 90 minute documentary. Although I knew it all, it was nice to hear the words coming out of the cast members mouths. It's also good to see a lot of those faces again as a lot of them did nothing after they starred in F13th movies.
Still, to any fan of the series, this is a must have for several reasons. First, the materialistic reasons: with the purchase of this DVD, you get a free ticket to go see the remake in theaters Feb. Friday the 13th. Also, you get a wicked badass Jason mini poster (that when I put it on my wall, freaked my wife out in the middle of the night, hehe).
The documentary is on disc 1 as well as a feature with all the "Men Behind The Mask", or all the people who played Jason Voorhees. Pretty cool stuff, but the hidden treasures are on the second disc. I'm not going to bore you guys listing all the features, but the second disc makes this entire purchase worth whatever price you pay for it.
Then, the best part of this documentary is the feeling you have after watching it. I cannot describe this feeling easily. Watching Friday the 13th is something I grew up on. These movies make me feel warm and gooey inside and leave me feeling like I am satisified but want more. You watch it and find out for yourself. KI KI KI MA MA MA
