Horribly Fun!

I came into this movie with mixed expectations.  I heard people say it's cheesy, it sucks, and don't get it but for me I love cheesy films.  They are the unintention fun side of horror.  So, for warn all you deadites who wish to view this, it's gonna be bad but it's gonna be fun.  Get tanked before viewing.

The movie starts off in a some sort of factory type lab on this island where zombies all of sudden appear and start devouring the workers.  A group of anti-terrorist soldiers go to the island for vacation and decide to bring their weapons and their blue military outfits (how convient eh?).  Well, the get the gist of something not right and bump into a few dead heads and a few alive heads as well.  They try to figure out whats going on by going deeper and deeper into the jungle where the zombies wait.

I'll start off with the good aspects of the film.  Great gore!

Ok that's it for the best parts, now on to the bad parts.  *cough* rip-off *cough* welcome back to all the other zombie films you've seen.  Atleast you jump right into the action instead of having a long drawn out cheesy film.  But in every other zombie film there is always one dead head that stick outs.  In this one, they pretty much all look the same, dirty and homeless.

The military guys start losing their minds and sometimes would run straight into a group of zombies and kinda tease them?  Don't know if thats the right way to put it but just start going out of their mind.  Anyways, they all end up doing something stupid and paying for it later on because apparently they have no common sense not to get into a certain spot with a group or avoid dark rooms.

I like Bruno Mattei.  I think he had lots of potential but he just couldn't pull it off.  The editing is terrible, the sound is a true ripoff from another film, and the actors are about as bad as if you're girlfriend was lying to you about how nice you look but in actually you look like crap that day.  I feel that some Italians try to cash in on the whole zombie genre because of Romero's success and can't do it on a low-budget like he can.  Mattei needs to stick with exploitation and far away from zombie films.  His exploitation films are exquisite and tasteful in which all exploitation should be.

But hey, another good part is, the naked broad.  She gets naked for no reason just to make friends with a tribe that runs towards zombies to get eaten.  Can't go wrong with boobies though.  It's an italian speciality.

Rent it before you buy it unless you're a true cheesy horror fan.
