Boy Eats Girl (2005) Review

At first, I thought it was porn when I saw the title. I thought that the writers were getting lazy, that the next title would be called MAN ON WOMAN. But, then after I watched it, I realized that it was a unique zombie movie that surpasses most of what I have seen within the last 10 years...

Plot---when a boy commits suicide, his mom recovers a buried book and uses it to bring her boy back. But when his first bit of hunger comes calling and he takes it out on a punk at school, all hell breaks lose as he tries to locate the woman he loves amidst a town going crazy with zombies roaming around...I really liked the idea behind this movie. I liked that it used a book to bring the boy back, and not some radiation or alien theory. Nice to see something original coming out these days. But the beginning is slow until the boy dies. Then...all hell starts to break loose...

Actors---David Leon (ROCKNROLLA) and Samantha Mumba (NAILED; TIME MACHINE) are the oly two that I recognized, and that is because I had to go to imdb.com to figure out where I saw them from. Acting itself was ok, nothing to hand an award out for. But for a foreign film, well worth it...

Director---Stephen Bradley, who has done other movies I have not seen. This is a great example of how directors are found: they make a movie that is not of their normal genre, and it is an excellent movie...

Nudity---all underage...

Gore---it's a zombie movie!!! Thankfully, nothing that would make you lose your lunch...

CGI---none that I could see...

Scares---none...

Bottom line---looking for nice foreign zombie movies with no subtitles? Here you go.
