Mutant Chronicles Review

For those of you who don't know...Mutant Chronicles is based on an old RPG board game that was big in the late 80's early 90's...I myself actually had one of the games and all of the characters in the movie came from it.... so the tie in was cool

Let me start off by saying this wasn't really what I expected the movie to be...the story premise goes like this...an alien spaceship crashes to earth burying itself deep within the earth...the ships only purpose...to turn mankind in to violent mutant drones which will bring about the end of mankind...well some knights templar put a stop to the machine and hide it under an ancient seal

Flash forward to the year 2270 or something like that...the world is now lead by 4 rival corporations who are in a constant struggle for the remaining resources on earth…currently there is a battle brewing between the Bauhaus and the Capitol corporation in Northern Europe…and guess where they’re fighting?  You got it!  Right over where the Alien craft is buried…This I thought was the best part of the movie…I thought it was very stylish how they made it look like World War 1 with a post apocalyptic feel…trench warfare with advanced weapons…pretty crazy…the rest of the film kind of feels like Mortal Combat mixed with Lord of the rings…Gave it a 6 out of 10 because its nothing we haven't seen before but the director does show promise.

Not the best movie in the world…some decent actors are in this…Thomas Jane, Ron Perlman, to name a few…but hey…it’s better than anything Uwe Boll has directed!
