Evil Dead Review

Instant Classic.. You can't put in words how much this movie means to all the horror fans out there.
A group of young people become trapped in a remote cabin in the woods. A mysterous and evil force know as Candarion Demons corners them and takes their souls one by one under their power.
Burce Campbell's finest work and Raimi best directorial. This is absolutely the most amazing (along with Romero's dead series) horror movies. The impact it has had in the recent years is phenominal. It still manages to spawn video games, t-shirts, more sequels, and other collectible items!
It brings in the terror of being alone, of being afraid of the dark. It messes with our heads psychological with the depths of eerie sounds. Unlike the sequels, it's not meant to be funny. That's the beauty of this film. It's suppose to scare the socks of you and with such a low budget of somewhere over 100k, it works! I find that everything, and when I mean everything I mean the sound, the acting, the cinematography, the lighting, everything works together as clockwork as you could ever get.
The movie leaves us like an open book open for another movie. I was hoping for another one that could scare us but instead we got a comedy horror which is just as good.
The makeup plus timelapse/claymation turned out really well for the budget. The animatronics of the trees were amazing tastefully done well with the kinda "probing scene" and the whole story itself is uncanny. I really wish "Within the Woods" would get remade in the same way so we could actually see the kinda prequel type deal.
I suggest you all get possessed together and find a way to see this! It's a must own and a must see.
