Alien: Resurrection (1997) Review

FIrst and foremost, I love this movie!!!! Plot: I think this is 200 or 300 years after Alien 3 and the military has cloned Ripley. Ripley was the host for aliens so has a connection with them and is slowly part alien IE her blood is acidic and she's super strong.
Anyways, a group of mercenaries comes aboard the military ship and what would an Alien movie be without the aliens!
The aliens were grouped together in a cell so they could be studied and they realized how to get out by killing one of the aliens so acid would burn their way out. It was pretty badass and unfortunate for everyone on board. From then on, it's a sweet battle to get to the escape ship which a bunch of people get to. We have 4 survivors in this movie.
Ron Perlman is in this movie and to me, he's one of the most badass, intimidating people out there so his appearance in this movie makes it all the more enjoyable.
Overall, all the acting was awesome in the movie. The only questionable part I had was with Winona Ryder. When we found out that she was an android, it was a little cheesy how it was revealed, but from then on, she was a pretty cool and vital character, especially to Ripley.
I thought this movie was a nice way to bring the series full circle as the whole chain of events from the first movie happen in this movie only with different characters. I was also glad not to see a lot of the facehuggers, although they are cool, it was nice to see the alien evolve after a couple hundred years and the filmmakers knew that.
So, I end this review happy to have rewatched all 4 Alien movies and loved every moment of it, I hope you will too. This one is my least favorite of the series, but only by a hair and only least favorite because Ripley wasn't afraid of the aliens like in previous movies, so it took away from the tension. See this movie, though, see it and love it. Peace.
