Outlander Review

The kind of cool-concept B-movie I would have loved as a kid. As an adult: it's still pretty good. Vikings vs aliens -- what's not to enjoy?

This delivers pretty much everything you could hope for from a movie whose premise basically boils down to Vikings fighting aliens. The blend of crappy special effects, cheesy acting and straight-faced silliness is enough to provide viewers with a taste for camp trash with a couple of hours of cheerfully ridiculous mind-rot.

The cast performs across the board. Some are good (Ron Perlman and John Hurt) other simply OK (Jim Caviezel). But really, we're here to watch Vikings vs aliens, not the next Oscar winner. And that monster is super cool! Push play and have some fun.
