Cannibal Holocaust Review

10 out of 10 Skulls

I had the pleasure of going into this movie knowing virtually nothing about it, besides the animal killings being real, and as I sat through this I began to question the movie. This movie tested my breaking point, this is my first explotation/rape/cannibal film, and this is the first time I watched a movie and I truly felt uncomfortable and had trouble watching (adultress punishment).

After watching this I truly thought it was a real snuff film, but i was corrected otherwise, and there is nothing that will bring me back to that first time I watch this masterpiece.

NOw to the actual review, this movie mixes the PERFECT blend of music with disturbing imagery to make you feel uncomfortable, the music is haunting and will stick in your mind for days afterwards, or in my case whistling or humming them. The gore is very well done and truly realistic, which is why I thought it was real the first time.

Do not watch this movie is your squeamish because IT DOES have REAL ANIMAL KILLINGS IN IT! The killings didn't bother me so much because it was just to shock the audience, there was a piont to the animal killings, if you were in the jungle you would need to kill for you food as well.

The movie follows a group of filmmakers makking a documentary and you soon realize they are the true cannibals, by raping their women and burning the natives houses down and laughing about it the whole way. There is even a scene with a pole through someone;s body and you see how truly sadistic the film crew is when one of them is laughing and smiling at it then notcies they are filming and acts all shocked.

Watch this movie, watch this movie and understand it, don't see it as shock exploitation or jsut nasty ness on screen, get inside the movie and truly understand it and you should enjoy it as much as I did. A perfect 10/10!
